ascii e-card

ascii e-card enables you to send e-cards to your friends, for free!!

how?

1. choose a design. a list of designs is available.
2. enter your name/e-mail address.
3. write a message.
4. enter the name and/or e-mail address of the recipient.
5. hit the "create ascii e-card" button.
6. (optional) create a new design and submit it to mechiel@xs4all.nl. have a look at the list of available designs for examples, if you still have questions about how to design, please send e-mail to the same address.

why?

this service is way better than other e-card services:

1. your friends will actually be able to read these cards! no java, flash, sound or images, just text!
2. this service is ad/banner free.
3. your data is safe and used exclusively to show to the recipient, see the privacy section for more information

privacy

a short description of how your data is treated, so you can determine that ascii ecards are not evil.

first, all data submitted is automatically removed after 30th day after posting and before 31st day after posting. both if the card has or has not been seen. no trace remains of it thereafter.

when you submit data, the sender, recipient, front card, back card are stored. the recipient's e-mail address (if submitted) is not stored if it is not used in the ascii ecard.

the data is only accessible by the webserver running ascii ecards, the ecard user who takes care of removing one month old ascii ecards, and me, the operator. i will never use or release information about submitted ascii ecards. your data is exclusively stored and used for creating the ascii ecard and showing it to the recipient.
